Підкреслена роль Ніццького договору ЄС, який відніс питання захисту прав людини до компетенції Суду ЄС та Лісабонського договору, який встановив, що інститут захисту прав людини є найвищою ціннісною ЄС та надав юридичної чинності Хартії ЄС про основоположні права 2000 р. EN: The article analyzes the interaction between the ECHR and the EU Court of Justice in the field of human rights protection. The history and regulatory framework of such interaction are considered.
