UK: В статті розглядаються Женевські конвенції 1949 р. і Додаткові протоколи до них, що встановлюють основні принципи і норми міжнародного гуманітарного права. Акцентується специфіка правової природи цих актів, які втілюють у собі взаємодію двох основних джерел міжнародного права – договірного та звичаєвого, причому останнє набуває особливого значення у випадках серйозних порушень міжнародного права. EN: The article examines the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and their Additional Protocols, which establish the basic principles and rules of international humanitarian law. The author emphasizes the specifics the legal nature of these acts, which embody the interaction of two main sources of international law – treaty and customary law, the latter being of particular importance in cases of serious violations of international law.
