Міфопоетичний концепт UKRAINE в романі А. Мельничука «What is told»: перекладацький аспект

Abstract

UK: Об’єкт дослідження – концептосфера «Україна» як простір для створення власного міфу, а також особливості перекладу такого тексту з урахуванням труднощів трансформації міфопоетичного образу при перекладі. Мета роботи – визначити та простежити способи реалізації концепту «Україна» в англомовному романі А. Мельничука «What Is Told» та доцільно розглянути його з позиції перекладу. Методи дослідження – метод суцільної вибірки; дискурс-аналіз; порівняльний; трансформаційний, контекстуальний та описовий методи. В першому розділі магістерської роботи визначено поняття «концепт» взагалі, та «міфопоетичний концепт» зокрема, досліджено різні концепти, та авторський міф. Другий розділ містить аналіз структурних компонентів роману «What Is Told» з акцентом на перекладацькі особливості роману. У висновках узагальнено результати дослідження. EN: The research object is the concept «Ukrainе» as a space for creating one's own myth, as well as the translation peculiarities of such a text, taking into account the transformation difficulties of the mythopoetic image during translation. The aim of the study is to identify and trace the ways of implementing the concept of «Ukraine» in the English-language novel «What Is Told» by Melnyczuk and it is advisable to consider it from the perspective of translation. Research methods – continuous sampling method; discourse analysis; comparative; transformational, contextual and descriptive methods. In the first section of the master's work, the meaning of «concept» and «mythopoetic concept» is defined, in particular, various concepts and the author's myth are investigated. The second section contains the structural components analysis of the novel «What Is Told», with an emphasis on the translation features of the novel. The conclusions summarize the results of the study.
