dc.description.abstractUK: Стаття зосереджується на особливостях лінгвокультурного прочитання літературного твору. Визначається поняття «національно-культурного маркеру», наводиться класифікація національно-культурних маркерів та окреслюється їх роль при вивченні національно-культурного навантаження художнього тексту. На матеріалі роману Е. Резерфорда «Лондон» ілюструється можливість пізнання культури народу через його мову. EN: The article focuses on the peculiarities of linguoculturological understanding of a literary work. It is based on the idea that any national language can reveal a lot about the nation itself – its traditions, customs, specificity of world perception, etc. In studying culture through language, special attention should be paid to national and cultural markers which identify some peculiar locations, historical events, religious beliefs, food preferences, professions, household items, etc. which are typical of a certain ethnic group and determine their national identity. Edward Rutherfurd’s novel “London” is a historical one. As the title implies, its narration concentrates on the history of the English capital from early times and till the modern period. The author is very detailed not only about historic events but also about cultural peculiarities and changes that accompany those events. Therefore, the novel turns out to be very valuable from the point of linguocultural analysis. There are numerous examples of different kind that can help the reader understand the cultural surroundings of the historic period described by the author. In the article an attempt was made to classify those examples so that it can be clear what exactly constructs the national identity of a typical Londoner and how useful that information can be for readers of the novel. Определяется понятие «национально-культурного маркера», приводится классификация национально-культурных маркеров и очерчивается их роль в изучении национально-культурной нагрузки художественного текста. На материале романа Е. Резерфорда «Лондон» иллюстрируется возможность изучения культуры народа через его язык.uk
