The aphoristic potential of presidential rhetoric of J. Bush Jr.

Abstract

UK: У розділі до монографії розглянуто проблему афористичного потенціалу президентської риторики Джорджа В. Буша. Проаналізовано цінності, на які посилався президент у своїх офіційних промовах. Встановлено засоби позначення загальнолюдських і національних цінностей у його промовах. Увагу приділено також ролі цінностей, проголошених батьками-засновниками Сполучених Штатів Америки та засобів їх позначення у політичному дискурсі Джорджа В. Буша. EN: The problem of aphoristic potential of George W. Bush’s is considered in the chapter of the monograph. The values referenced by the president in his official speeches are analyzed. Means of denoting universal and national values in his speeches have been identified. Attention is also given to the role of values proclaimed by the Founding Fathers of the United States and means of their designation in the political discourse of George W. Bush.
