Об’єкт дослідження – запозичена лексика з японської мови у сфері англомовного стандарта (загальновживана та мова для спеціальних цілей) та субстандарту (мова аніме та манга). Мета роботи – виявити когнітивні підстави й встановити лінгвокультурологічні фактори запозичення з японської мови та дослідити функціонування японізмів у сучасній англійській мові у сфері стандарту та субстандарту. Методи дослідження – лінгвістичний; аналізу суцільної вибірки; контекстуальний та описовий; системно-функціональний; компонентного аналізу; словникових дефініцій; етимологічний; історичний; кількісного аналізу. У першому розділі кваліфікаційної роботи представлено аналіз сучасних наукових підходів до поняття «запозичення» та «японізм», розглянуто різні класифікації запозичень, охарактеризовано умови прийому їх у мову-реципієнт, зроблено аналіз методології вивчення зазначених понять. Другий розділ присвячено результатам систематизації лексичних запозичень з японської мови, досліджено етапи та шляхи проникнення японізмів в англійську мову, проаналізовано лінгвокультурологічні чинники та причини їхнього входження в літературну мову. У третьому розділі досліджуються японізми в мовленні представників молодіжної субкультури аніме. У розділі дано характеристику процесу запозичення японської лексики у сфері субстандарту, розглянуто найважливіші риси субкультури аніме як елемента масової культури, виявлено когнітивні та лінгвокультурологічні характеристики сленгізмів японського походження, визначено особливості семантизації цих запозичень у словнику субстандартної лексики. У додатках надано приклади вживання японізмів, глосарії, діаграми та стаття й тези доповідей, що були опубліковані за результатами роботи. EN: The research object is the borrowed vocabulary from Japanese in the sphere of the English standard (commonly used and special-purpose language) and substandard (anime and manga language). The aim of the study is to identify the cognitive grounds and establish the linguistic and cultural factors of borrowing from Japanese and to investigate the functioning of Japonismes in Modern English in the sphere of standard and substandard. Research methods – the linguistic method, the analysis of a continuous sample, contextual analysis and descriptive method, system-functional method, component analysis method, method of dictionary definitions, etymological analysis, historical of borrowing process, the method of quantitative analysis. The first chapter of the qualification work presents an analysis of modern scientific approaches to the concepts of "borrowing" and "japonism", considers various classifications of borrowings, characterizes the conditions of their acceptance into the recipient language and analyses the methodology of studying these concepts. The second section is devoted to the results of the systematization of lexical borrowings from the Japanese language, the stages and ways of Japonism penetration into the English language, the linguistic and cultural factors and reasons for their entry into the literary language are analyzed. The third section examines japonism in the speech of representatives in the anime youth subculture. The chapter describes the process of borrowing Japanese vocabulary in the substandard sphere, considers the most important features of the anime subculture as an element of mass culture, reveals the cognitive and linguistic and cultural characteristics of Japanese origin slangisms and identifies the peculiarities of these borrowing somatization in the dictionary of substandard vocabulary. The appendices contain examples of Japonisms, glossaries, diagrams, and articles and abstracts published on the basis of the research.
